Tagged by Shasha: 6 weird habits/things

"Once you are tagged you MUST write an entry about 6 weird habits/things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next six people to be tagged and list their names."

and i never get tagged for this stuff =_=

1. i MUST sleep on my right side (facing my right) or i will wake up with a headache.

2. I can alternate between american english and singlish. but i cannot speak to singaporeans in american english and vice versa.

3. there are certain words that i still pronounce with a singaporean/british accent when i speak my version of "american english." for some reason i can't adopt the pronunciation of just those specific words.

4. i usually feel colder than other people in the same room.

5. i hiccup after meals.

6. i eat my food in a specific order. and if i have rice with more than one dish, the rice that i eat with one dish cannot mix with the rice i eat with another dish.

i tag... i-ting, judith, leslie, sally, vickie, and yan >D

An engineering major?? >.< at least i double-majored in one of the top 3. though i see that i'm not decisive enough to have 100% of any major haha... too bad business is not part of the list. and dance can't be 50% cause i'm incredibly awkward when i try (judith would know... she tried to teach me ). journalism should be higher since that's all i did in high school =_=

it's been exactly 6 months since i started working. quite content with the way things have turned out: living at home like the typical singaporean who just started work (though obviously circumstances are different since singapore is smaller than the smallest state in the US), have yet to come in on a weekend to work (i'd rather work late on Friday nights than do that), and i seem to be sufficiently appreciated for the work that i do. but it still feels strange to be able to delegate work to others, so i try to do as much as i can myself... hence the staying late probably.

but speaking of singapore... i've been having second thoughts about whether i want to go back. in my mind i'll probably prefer the lifestyle there since i'm always so high strung about everything ... as everyone else is there hehe, and i'm utterly afraid of cold weather which i'm sure my father would confirm: he thinks i dress up like i'm about to go skiing everytime we just head out the door and even dressed like that, all the heaters in the car are pointed in my direction. plus most of my family's there. but the opportunities here are so much better and the lifestyle is probably healthier though it's not what i'm used to. a lot more conflicts aside from those of course, including the uncertainty of which location my parents prefer since i'd like to be near them. suggestions anyway?

on a lighter note: merry belated christmas and happy holidays everyone!!

edit:

and the boy who sent me these will most likely be in singapore too >P

if you ignore the amateur photography and flower arrangement, it looks pretty ^_^

i have a sudden craving for fruit tarts...

Friday, August 12, 2005

wow i have absolutely no social life now. it's weird. i'm bored now. hence the entry. weekdays are usually reserved for work and for preparing elaborate dinners and lunches for the next day. weekends are for errands and miscellaneous chores. i'm looking forward to setting up that badminton net this weekend though ^_^

where are all the delaware people?? doesn't help that helen's and my schedules are almost completely opposites too. i actually miss high school. i don't miss my not being able to drive though. we were so much more care free back then. maybe i miss the university too. if only you could turn back time huh?

nostalgia...
